Neighbourhood plans in development

The first step of neighbourhood plans is to have a neighbourhood area designated. These areas have all had their submission for a neighbourhood area approved and are developing their plans.

Ampney Crucis

In June 2020, Ampney Crucis Parish Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Andoversford

In January 2020, Andoversford Parish Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Blockley

In January 2017, Blockley Parish Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Chedworth

In January 2021, Chedworth Parish Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Chipping Campden

In November 2013, Chipping Campden Town Council approached us to have their parish areas designated as a Neighbourhood Area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Following the statutory consultation period, we designated this area on 14 February 2014. 

Cirencester

In October 2018, Cirencester Town Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could a neighbourhood plan.  Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Ebrington

In December 2013, Ebrington Parish Council approached us to have their parish areas designated as a Neighbourhood Area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Following the statutory consultation period, we designated this area on 14 February 2014.

Moreton in Marsh

In September 2018, Moreton-in-Marsh Town Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan.  Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Siddington

In June 2023, Siddington Parish Council approached us to have their parish boundaries designated as a neighbourhood area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Under the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2016, this area was automatically approved, without need for consultation or decision.

Stow-on-the-Wold and the Swells

In July 2012, Stow-on-the-Wold Town Council approached us to have their parish area designated as a Neighbourhood Area, so they could develop a neighbourhood plan. Following the statutory consultation period, we designated this area on 6 September 2012. 

In January 2015, Stow Town Council submitted an application to designate a revised area to include all of Stow and Swell parishes. Following the statutory consultation period, we designated this area on 9th April 2015.

Upper Rissington

Upper Rissington Parish Council submitted a request for a neighbourhood area to be designated. The area proposed covers most of Upper Rissington parish, except the area within RAF Little Rissington, and a small part of the Victory Fields development, within Great Rissington. This submission was considered and agreed on 22 February 2018.
