Report a missed bin collection
Report a missed bin collection
Our service provider is currently experiencing high levels of sickness in their workforce. They are working hard to carry out the collection services as normal. Where you do experience a missed collection, please leave your container out, if you can safely do so, and a return collection will be made as soon as possible.
Waste collection changes for Tetbury residents: Due to roadworks and limited access between 8–19 December, there will be changes to waste collections for around 140 properties in Northfield Road, Northfield Close, Northleaze (including The Paddock & Cattle Lane). Waste collections for refuse and recycling will take place on Saturday 20 December, instead of the usual Friday collection.
If your bin or recycling has not been collected you can report it as missed after 4pm on collection day. You need to let us know within two days of the missed collection.
Before reporting a missed bin please make sure that:
- you had put the bin out by 7am
- there was no extra waste by the side of the bin
- any recycling was in the correct boxes
- your garden waste bin had a valid licence
- bin lids were closed
Please note: cold weather can freeze garden waste, making bins heavy and damaging lifting equipment. Our contractors will only empty bins if contents are loose and not stuck inside. Before collection, loosen waste with a garden fork and keep bins sheltered where possible. This mainly affects garden waste bins, not refuse or recycling.

We aim to return to collect within three working days from the day that the miss is reported.
There may have been a reason why your collection was missed, for example, not being able to access the property, contaminated or overflowing rubbish. We will let you know if this is the case.
