About the awards
The Unsung Heroes Awards recognise the people in our local community doing amazing things. They are recognised at our full council meetings, and will receive a certificate and badge to honour their achievement.
Watch Chair of the Council, Mark Harris talk about the awards in the below clip.
Why nominate?
Consider nominating someone in your community to show thanks and recognise their good work. We know lots of people do brilliant things everyday but don't get the recognition they deserve. By taking 5 minutes, you can show them that they are appreciated by their local community.
Success stories
"The Unsung Heroes Awards are a testament to the incredible people who quietly go above and beyond to make our communities better places to live. This round’s winners reflect the selflessness, dedication, and resilience that make the Cotswolds so special. It’s an honour to recognise their contributions and celebrate their achievements."
In January 2025, Phil Miles, John Lawrence, and the Blockley Community Speedwatch Group were awarded. Each demonstrated an unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of others and fostering community spirit.
