Make a payment

There are a number of different ways to make a payment to the Council.

Online payments

It's easy, quick and secure to make an online payment. You can use this method of payment for:

  • Council Tax
  • Business Rates
  • Overpayment of Housing Benefit
  • Other Invoices (Sundry Debtors) except parking penalty charges
  • For Parking Penalty Charges please use APCOA Online Payment Service

All you need is your payment reference number (e.g. Council Tax account or an invoice number) and your payment card details. You can use your bank debit card or credit card to pay online: Visa, MasterCard, Visa Delta and Electron are all accepted.

Telephone payments

Please call 01285 623666 for our automated telephone payments service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can use this method of payment for:

  • Council Tax
  • Business Rates
  • Other Invoices (Sundry Debtors) except parking penalty charges

Parking Penalty Charges

Please call 0345 3199631 for our dedicated automated payments service for Parking Penalty Charges.

Pay by Direct Debit

This is the easiest method of payment both for you as the customer and for the Council. It saves you the worry of remembering to pay each month, of writing a cheque, buying a stamp, posting a letter or standing in a queue at the Post Office or the Council's Cashiers office. Payment by Direct Debit is covered by a guarantee for your peace of mind. This payment method can be used for:

  • Council tax
  • Business Rates

Payments for any Council service excluding parking can be made at Cirencester, Trinity Road or Moreton Area Centre.
