Somerford Keynes neighbourhood plan

Consultation on Somerford Keynes neighbourhood development plan

Somerford Keynes Parish Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan which sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies. It will be used to help decide local planning applications.

The draft Neighbourhood Plan has been out to a statutory consultation which closed on 24 January 2020.

The plan, its supporting documents and the representations received are being reviewed by the independent examiner, Andrew Ashcroft.  The examiner has issued a note seeking clarification on a number of issues, to which the parish council has responded.

The examiner will prepare a report containing recommendations to be considered by Cotswold District Council. If, on the examiner’s advice, the council determines that the plan meets the 'basic conditions', it will go forward to referendum.

If at the referendum more than 50% of people vote to support the plan, we will use it to help decide planning applications in Somerford Keynes Parish.
