Grant deadline approaching – don’t miss out
Cotswold District Council’s Community Activity Support Grant clock is ticking so don’t miss out and make an application now.
Grants are available to support a wide range of community projects which bring people together in the Cotswold District - but applications need to be in by July 1st.
The Community Projects Fund is a new system of grants combining the previous Youth Activities and World War 1 funds.
Money is available to support a wide range of activities designed to enhance local communities. Each ward has been allocated a pot of £2,500 to help proposed projects in their areas.
Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance, Mike Evemy said: ” “We want people from across the whole District to apply for these grants. They can be used to support events, activities or projects which will enhance the quality of life for local people. I’m particularly keen to support projects involving young people and those which will improve the quality of our environment by taking action to combat waste and climate change.”
“We have already received applications, but we wanted to remind residents and community groups that the deadline to receive support for summer events and activities is coming up soon.”
Council Leader Joe Harris added: “These grants are a great way of helping our local communities to make the Cotswolds an even greater place to live. We really hope people will take advantage of this funding and we are looking forward to seeing what ideas people submit.”
There will be further opportunities to apply for grants later in the year in October and January next year.
