Sites for potential development wanted
Cotswold District Council has begun a ‘Call for Sites’ for potential building projects.
This includes housing (including sites for accommodating gypsies and travelling show people) employment, retail, commercial, community and/or other uses.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 2 August 2019.
The Call for Sites will inform the Council’s Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) which provides a broad assessment of the development potential of sites across the District. Whilst this is separate from the Local Plan site allocation process, it will influence future reviews of the Local Plan.
The Council’s Principal Planning Policy Officer Matthew Britton said: “We are asking anyone who has previously submitted sites to the SHELAA to reconfirm their interest and tell us about any recent progress in bringing sites forward for development.
Anyone wishing to submit a site or building for potential development in Cotswold District can complete a site submission form and provide a brief description of the proposal, details of site ownership and a map (preferably 1:1250 scale) with the site area outlined in red.“
