What to do if waste and recycling collections are delayed during adverse weather

Release date: 25 January 2019

The latest forecasts from the Met Office indicate that the recent cold spell will return during the last week of January. Low temperatures could bring a general risk of slippery conditions and possibly black ice on roads and pavements in communities across the Cotswolds over the next week or so.

With this in mind, there may be a delay in the collection of kerbside recycling and waste during adverse weather conditions.

Nevertheless, residents should leave their bins and containers at the kerbside as normal on their collection day, ensuring that all items are presented by 7 am.  Should there be a delay in Ubico crews picking them up, please continue to leave uncollected items at the kerbside for collection.

For more information about the weather please see https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings.
