Road safety is a key concern for many of our communities. We work in partnership to make sure Cotswold roads are safer for all users – including car drivers and passengers, cyclists and motorcyclists, and pedestrians – and reduce the risk of them being killed or seriously injured on the road.
We do this in a variety of ways, such as delivering educational sessions with young people, promoting the Safer Driver With Age (SAGE) programme, running public campaigns and supporting local community activities like Community Speed Watch.
Much of our work is coordinated through the Cotswold Road Safety Liaison Group. They bring together agencies such as the local authorities, police and fire service with other interested people such as the Institutes of Advanced Motorists and Motorcyclists, driving instructors and community representatives.
