Our performance
How is Cotswold District Council Performing?
We collect information or data about how our services are performing which we report to central government and the public. Some of the data we collect are statutory, that is, all councils are required to collect this data. This allows us to understand how we are performing in relation to other similar councils. We also have local targets that may be related to our services or to council priorities. These targets help us to deliver what is important at a local level.
We use performance data, including financial data to manage our performance. Senior management and the Cabinet use this information to help make decisions about where to direct our resources, and to address poor performance. The Overview and Scrutiny committee scrutinise the information and feed back any issues that they feel the Cabinet need to be aware of. We also consider the risks that might prevent us from delivering good services, and put in place actions to reduce the risks.
