Environmental Wardens
The council’s Environmental Wardens cover the whole district dealing with environmental crime issues. The two wardens also work with residents to encourage them to recycle and compost as much of their waste as possible, the aim is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill.

Environmental Crime
Environmental crime is crime that adversely affects the environment. The Environmental Wardens are out and about across the district carrying out patrols and investigating such problems; working with communities, raising awareness and using enforcement powers to punish offenders. The crimes can be dealt with by spot fines or prosecution. They include
dog fouling.
