Cotswold District Local Plan 2001-2011 (Adopted April 2006)
Legislation under the Planning and Compensation Act 2004 changed the system of Development Plans and their preparation. Local Plans were replaced by Local Development Frameworks (more commonly referred to as LDF's).
However, in March 2012 the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) came into force. The NPPF abandons the terminology of the LDF and opts instead for the Local Plan. Therefore, on this website any reference to the LDF refers to the emerging Local Plan.
The Cotswold District Local Plan was adopted in April 2006. The majority of the current Local Plan's policies are saved indefinitely (or until they are superseded by the emerging Local Plan and associated documents).
