Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)
The Cotswold Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) was established in 2001 to take a long-term strategic view of the District. It brings together the main agencies from the public, private and community & voluntary sector. Its purpose is to identify and understand the major challenges for the Cotswolds in the medium and long-term and to make sure that these are tackled in partnership.
The vision of the LSP is ‘In partnership with other agencies and stakeholders, to promote excellent services and thriving communities while protecting our unique heritage’
In consultation with partners, the LSP has devised its community strategy which describes the main issues of the District and proposes actions to address these. We have an annual Community Strategy Action Plan which identifies our partnership projects. We monitor progress against delivery of these projects quarterly.
The LSP operates at three levels:
- Management board
Oversees the work of the LSP and ensure that it delivers the community strategy
- Thematic working groups
Are responsible for research or project delivery in specific thematic work areas. At present we have five such groups which cover the areas of crime and disorder; health and well being; environment; learning/business and children and young people
- Reference group
This is made up of the community at large and meets annually as a stakeholder conference. The reference group will receive feedback on progress and inform the LSP of local issues that need to be addressed in the future. - Structure of Cotswold LSP

There is plenty of scope to get involved in our work, either through joining the LSP Management board, one of the thematic groups or participate in the annual meeting of the reference group.
