Fitness Classes
Classes to Suit Your Needs!
Here at Cotswold Leisure we offer a wide and varied programme of exercise classes to suit people of all ages and levels of fitness.
Most of the classes are held in our purpose-built, air-conditioned fitness studio, with it’s superb sprung floor and mirrored wall. We also have the latest in sound systems and a range of new equipment to complement the classes. Our qualified and experienced instructors are full of enthusiasm and motivation and are waiting to make you feel great - so come along and find out more!
You can pick up the Fitness Class Programme from our reception desk. If you need help in choosing a class suitable for your age or level of fitness, please speak to one of our Customer Advisors, who will be more than happy to help you. Don’t worry, we are here to make sure your first steps to a ‘fitter you’ go well; and if it’s your first time, we will be delighted to see you.

Guide to Fitness Classes
Aerobics An energetic workout with great choreography and motivating music to engage mind and body. May include work for the core (abs & back).
Aerobics/Conditioning The first part of this class is aerobics (mainly low impact), to raise your heart rate and burn calories. The second part is body conditioning, in which you will use a variety of equipment to tone up your muscles. Finishes with floor work and stretches.
Body Pump Pre-choreographed class. Using weights, this class targets all the major muscle groups for improving muscle strength and endurance
Body Combat Pre-choreographed class. Combines moves & stances from a range of self defence disciplines. Fierce & energetic
Boxercise A circuit based workout which incorporates boxing drills using punch bags & pads. A high intensity class
Circuits This workout includes a variety of exercises and equipment to challenge your aerobic fitness, muscle strength and core stability. Requires a reasonable level of fitness and the ability to run and perform other high impact exercise.
Fitness Pilates Focuses on strengthening the muscles around the core of the body, the abdominals and back. Improves posture, balance, coordination, strength and flexibility. Not for those with serious joint conditions.
Fitness Yoga This class uses slow flowing movements and static postures to target core stability, flexibility, strength and balance. Also includes a short relaxation section. Not for those with serious joint conditions.
Functional Core Conditioning A new twist on traditional body conditioning, this class will challenge your body to move in ways you had never thought of before. Improves core strength and stability
Legs Bums & Tums Does what it says! This class targets the lower body & core for muscle toning. Also raises your heart rate for calorie burning.
Indoor Cycling A high intensity class on stationary cycles. Climbing, time trialling and sprinting – all without leaving the studio. Great for improving aerobic fitness
Step This is a mainly low impact workout, targeting legs and bums. The complexity of choreography is at intermediate level. May also include floor work. A fantastic calorie burner.
Tai Chi A great way to relax and reduce stress as well as improving range of movement, muscle tone and balance. Our most gentle class
Total Stretch Following an aerobic warm up, there will be a long stretch section focussing particularly on spinal care. Improves flexibility
