Refuse, recycling and garden waste collections

This is a vital service that makes the area a healthy, safe and clean place to live. To find out which day is the refuse collection day for your area use the Refuse, recycling and garden waste calendar.

We have recently made changes to our waste and recycling collection service.  Collections now have a fortnightly pattern. One week ALL your waste and recycling is collected. The following week, only food waste and garden waste* is collected. The changes we have made should reduce landfill waste by around 20% and increase the recycling rate in the Cotswolds to approaching 60%.

You can help us to ensure the collection service runs smoothly and effectively by putting your refuse and recycling and garden waste out to the edge of your property by 7:00am on the day of collection. This is important, as the order in which the collections are made may vary from week to week. Special arrangements can be made if you are unable to do this, these are called assisted collections.

If your collection is missed, please let us know using the contact details below, and we will try to collect it as soon as possible. Please do not phone before 4pm as your refuse may be collected any time up to 5pm on collection day.

*Garden waste will only be collected if you have paid for the service.  Sign up now if you have not yet subscribed!
