Foto Forum (established in 1992), is a small group of independent photographers based in Gloucestershire. The group provides opportunities for photographers to work together on specific themes with the aim of exhibiting their work locally. The 8 photographers who make up the group are: Judy Bill; Bill Henley; Mike Komarnyckyj; Jonathan Leach; Margaret Lister (Founder of the Group); Anthony Moth; Ian Peters and Carlos Ordonez. The theme for this exhibition is “Words”. Each member of the group approaches the subject in their own unique style, so we have a range of exciting themes - Judy Bill finds a glimpse of text can be more intriguing than the whole, Mike Komarnyckyj looks at unusual writings on tombstones, Jonathan Leach includes words on his images of plants and flowers, Ian Peters chooses a poem and illustrates it with seagulls and seascapes and Margaret Lister has taken portraits of interesting people and used their words.
