Promotion through Cotswold District Council                        

(Tourism Marketing/Website and Visitor Information Centres)      'Visit Cotswolds'  2013

All accommodation must be inspected annually under the Harmonised Quality Assurance Scheme by either VisitBritain (Tourist Board) or AA.

Entry is open to:

• Properties within the boundary of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
• Other neighbouring establishments at the discretion of The Publisher

Once your property is inspected, you are eligible to advertise in Visit Cotswolds which is published annually. This includes an entry on the District Council’s Tourism website www.cotswold.gov.uk/go/tourism 

Recently Cotswolds Tourism has launched the "Cotswolds Tourism Local Assessment Scheme”, developed to recognise and drive up standards of accommodation in Gloucestershire. This scheme will be operated on a pilot basis for one year.

The Cotswolds Tourism Local Assessment Scheme is a stepping stone towards the National Quality Assurance Standards.  It is delivered in partnership with VisitEngland and, while accommodation providers meeting the standard will not yet be participating in the national scheme, they will be demonstrating their commitment to quality improvements.  Please contact Quality in Tourism requesting the “Cotswolds Local Assessment Scheme”

One of the benefits of entry into The Cotswold Visitor Guide (and entry on the website) is that Visitor Information Centres can promote, and make bookings into, those properties. You will also benefit from extensive marketing for the Cotswolds through the 'Cotswolds Destination Management Organisation'

If the guide has already been printed you can still be included on the website and benefit from the marketing, for which a charge is made.
