- Corporate Strategy and Plan
The strategy outlines our aim and priorities for the district in 2012/13 to 2014/15, and the top tasks that are important to the Council. - Local Strategic Partnership
The main role is to work in partnership to identify and understand the major challenges for our district. This is achieved through the Sustainable Community Strategy. - Communications and engagement
We have a duty to consult, inform and involve our community in delivering and shaping services. The community and engagement strategy sets out our commitment are the framework describes some of our engagement activities. - Equalities and diversity
We need to ensure that we meet our legal obligations under the Race, Disability and Gender schemes. Our Equality and Diversity policy describes our commitment to securing equality of opportunity both in the services we provide and as an employer, while the scheme sets out a framework for our future work. - Risk management
We regularly consider the risks to delivering the Council’s objectives and services (strategic and operational risks), and put in place actions to reduce the level of risk. Our risk management policy and strategy describe the way we manage and control risks. - Our performance
This section describes how we monitor and manage our performance, how we are assessed externally, and how we have performed.
About the Corporate Planning service
The Corporate Planning service manages the Council’s strategic and business planning processes, corporate performance and risk management ensuring that we have the right processes and mechanisms to comply with equality legislation and respond to new government policies and initiatives.
Within its strategic role, the service takes an overall lead on the Gloucestershire Local Area Agreement and the Cotswold Local Strategic Partnership and engagement and consultation with people who live in, work in and visit the District. We support senior managers and officers, Members, particularly Cabinet and Overview and Scrutiny Committee in the effective management of the Council.
