We regularly consider the risks to delivering the Council’s objectives and services (strategic and operational risks), and put in place actions to reduce the level of risk. Our risk management policy and strategy describe the way we manage and control risks.

About the Corporate Planning service
The Corporate Planning service manages the Council’s strategic and business planning processes, corporate performance and risk management ensuring that we have the right processes and mechanisms to comply with equality legislation and respond to new government policies and initiatives.
Within its strategic role, the service takes an overall lead on the Gloucestershire Local Area Agreement and the Cotswold Local Strategic Partnership and engagement and consultation with people who live in, work in and visit the District. We support senior managers and officers, Members, particularly Cabinet and Overview and Scrutiny Committee in the effective management of the Council.
