Comprehensive Area Assessment

The new CAA introduced in April 2009 assesses how well public services are working together to meet the needs of local people.

The key elements of the new framework are:

• An area assessment which assesses the impact that local services are having on improving the quality of life for local people.  This assessment looks beyond councils and include the work of other partners locally.  In particular, this is about how we contribute to the outcomes being delivered through partnership across Gloucestershire County.
• An organisational assessment - this is an assessment of how we manage our resources (including value for money) and managing performance (including what improvements we have made to the outcomes that are important to local people. 

The first assessments have been completed and can be found below.  In it's 2009 Organsiational Assessment the Council has been rated as 3 (out of 4) - 'performs well'.
