No change to Cotswold waste collections on 7 May

Release Date: Apr 18, 2012

Cotswold District Council has reminded residents that there will be no disruptions to waste collections on the Spring Bank Holiday – Monday 7 May.  All households scheduled to receive refuse, recycling, food and (if subscribed) garden waste collections on that day should present the appropriate receptacles at the kerbside by 7.00 am at the latest.

CDC Waste Manager, Scott Williams, said: “Most residents know that our contractors SITA UK tend to work on most public holidays, but it is always worth sending out a reminder.”

He continued: “SITA UK will also be working over the two public holidays allocated for the Queen’s jubilee celebrations on 4 and 5 June and, in a few weeks time, we will be issuing more detailed information about their arrangements on those days, including plans for collecting from streets which are closing for street parties.

For any further information, please contact the Council’s Waste Hotline on 01285 623123.
