Learn to run the right way at Cotswold Leisure
Between 3 pm and 8 pm, world-renowned marathon consultant and author Graeme Hilditch will be joining forces with the specialist running shoe company, Brooks, who will video and analyse individual running styles. Using this information, Graeme will be able to offer tips about performance and reducing injury, while a Brooks representative will provide advice on the best shoes to complement and increase individual performance.
Graeme, who is based locally, has gained a reputation as a top class personal trainer and sports therapist, and has prepared hundreds of runners around the world for long-distance events. His book about endurance running, titled ‘The Marathon and Half Marathon: A Training Guide’ has been acclaimed by many as the long distance runner’s bible and is the best selling book ever published by Marlborough-based Crowood Press.
Commenting on the forthcoming advice sessions at Cotswold Leisure, he said: “I was delighted when I was asked to link up with Brooks to provide help for runners at Cirencester. It’s incredible how much better anyone can perform when they heed expert advice and use the footwear that complements their style. Choosing the right shoe is crucial and will actually help someone get greater enjoyment from the sport regardless of the times they hope to achieve.”
The sessions at Cotswold Leisure Cirencester on 1 March will take 20 minutes per person to complete. Timeslots can be reserved by contacting the Gym team direct 01285 623719.
