RECYCLE UNWANTED CARDS WITH THE MORETON AREA CENTRE
Give charity a helping hand after the holiday season and recycle your unwanted Christmas cards with the Moreton Area Centre.
The centre has set up a recycling point at its High Street home in Moreton-in-Marsh, where residents can come to drop off their old Christmas cards from January 4th-15th.
From here, MAC staff will take the cards collected to the Cobalt Appeal Fund, in Cheltenham, where the charity – which raises money to fight cancer and other serious illnesses – will recycle them and reuse them as new cards.
Sally Graff, the manager at the Moreton Area Centre, said: "The staff at the MAC are always pleased to be supporting this important local charity, which not only helps the fight against serious illness, but also promotes the recycling message too.
"We hope as many residents as possible can help this cause by bringing along all their unwanted Christmas cards."
Every year, the Cobalt Appeal Fund raises approximately £40,000 per year in card sales.
The charity, based in Thirlestaine Road, Cheltenham and going since 1964, receives support from public and private donations and various fundraising activities.
Please visit the Cobalt Appeal website for more information on the charity and its work.
