'Cards for Good Causes' Shop comes to Moreton Area Centre
Release date: 31 October 2016
The festive season is under way in Moreton-in-Marsh as the Cards for Good Causes charity Christmas card shop opens at Cotswold District Council's Moreton Area Centre, High Street, Moreton-in-Marsh, GL56 0AZ. Perfect for those who want to get ahead in their Christmas preparations, the shops offer a fantastic range of cards and Christmas goods, sales of which support the work of national and local charities.
The Moreton pop-up shop is part of a network of over 300 temporary shops run by Cards for Good Causes, the UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation. It represents more than 250 charities including Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s, NSPCC, Alzheimer’s Society and RNLI.
Shoppers in Moreton can choose from hundreds of different Christmas card designs. Lyn O’Toole, Area Organiser for Cards for Good Causes, says:
“The support for our shops is fantastic. Buying charity Christmas cards is one of the simplest ways to support good causes across the region this festive season. Sales of the cards not only generate funds with which the charities can make a real difference, but also purchasing and sending them helps raise awareness of the vital work these charities do. We look forward to welcoming Moreton shoppers to our pop-up this autumn.”
In the past ten years, charities have received more than £40 million from Cards for Good Causes, representing at least 70p in every pound, out of which charities have had to pay for the production and distribution of their Christmas cards and any VAT.
Moreton Area Centre Opening Times:
Mondays 9.00am – 4.00pm
Tuesdays to Fridays 9.00am – 4.30pm
