Proxy voting

Voting by proxy

Voting by proxy means that you ask someone to vote on your behalf either at the polling station or by post.

You will need to complete an application form available at About my vote

You can complete an application at any time during the year, but there are deadlines when elections are running.

You can ask for a proxy vote for all elections or for a particular election only.

If you would like a permanent proxy vote, you will need to give a reason and may need to ask someone to support your application.

If the application is for a single election date only, you do not need to give a reason or get a signature in support.

Application forms can be downloaded from About My Vote or contact us and we will send one to you.
